1. Thomas Persson Acne Paper Issue 10 Out Now Featuring Daniel Jackson

The summer 2010 issue of Acne Paper is now out and its theme is partying. It features a beautiful cover story shot by Daniel Jackson. Editor in Chief and Creative Director Thomas Persson writes: "...it has been thrilling putting together an issue on the theme of parties. First of all, we feel the need to take our minds off our everyday lives and to be inspired by the generosity, creativity, flair and imagination that went into throwing some of the most legendary parties of the 20th century. There simply aren't enough fo those marvellous fêtes on the ground anymore! Being complete dreamers we thought that by celebrating the more advanced hosts of this world we could inspire to other forms of social gatherings that we are used to today. Great parties, after all, are never about boring realities but an opportunity to live out our heightened selves and to enjoy this feeling in the company of new and old friends. At best, these encounter can change lives. To make it personal: when I first met Jonny Johansson, the founder and creative director of ACNE, we had a conversation on a dance floor at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm. It was the beginning of this magazine. Things do happen at parties, and that is what we want to celebrate in this issue." Fittingly enough the issue was launched last night with a party hosted in one of the suites of the timeless Carlyle Hotel in New York.
